Summer Walking Tour - Smallthorne

Sunday 10th August: Ford Green Hall, Smallthorne to Moorland Inn

Meet at the Ford Green Hall Café from 10.30am for an 11am start. The walk is free to attend and will finish around midday. Follow a route from Smallthorne to Moorland Inn, with local historian and author Mervyn Edwards as your guide. Duration approx. 1 hour.

Notes: Visit the Ford Green Hall Museum to see the newly gifted Arthur Berry artwork titled: Old Man Seated (Black and White), 1984 on Mixed Media, measures 39cm x 52cm, which has now gone on public display in the tearoom at the much-loved heritage museum, open to the public Sun to Thurs 1pm-4pm. www.fordgreenhall.org.uk.

Duration: Approximately one hour

Tickets: No need to book.
Additional Notes: Wear strong shoes, or walking shoes/boots

These summer walks will be an inspiring opportunity to explore the streets and stories that helped shape one of Stoke-on-Trent’s most iconic artists. All will start at 11am and explore the landscapes that inspired Berry’s work and life.
